Which Anti Virus Do I buy?
A lot of people ask me which is the right anti virus program to choose from as there are many choices out there. The only 2 programs that I found which are good for protecting your computer are NOD32, Avast, and MS Security Essentials. Why NOD32 or Avast you say? NOD32 in my experience has found more viruses than any other virus scanner I have used. It is also one of the fastest and leaves a small “footprint” in your computer, meaning it is almost transparent in system resources. Avast is a totally free solution if you are on a budget with no hidden costs. I have found more viruses through using this program as a scanner then Norton Anti virus. Not as good as NOD32 but still a good scanner. MS Security Essentials is a new Antivirus from Microsoft which has a great detection rate and is also free. Another upside to this is no registration is needed and it does not take up many system resources. There are also some anti virus programs that I tell people to stay far away from such as Norton and McAfee. These programs usually come bundled with most major brand PCs. Both of them will slow your computer down significantly and if you have a virus will be the first things the virus will take out. They also cause system crashes and will sometimes take out your Internet connection. If you un-install them you will notice a significant speed boost to your computer. There is still a possibility that a virus can get past the anti virus program you install so nothing is 100% effective unfortunately. Listed below are anti virus programs that I recommend.
