AOL and You

This section is about all things AOL related.

Why make a section dedicated to just AOL? Because I get an abundance of calls related to this company.

AOL WILL slow down your system tremendously and the anti-virus and anti-spyware programs it gives you are useless.

If you install AOL to get into the internet go into your add/remove programs in windows and uninstall all the junk that is included with it or else your computer will be very slow.

Trying to cancel this service is like pulling teeth. Stay firm when dealing with them or they will keep you on indefinatly.

What types of AOL programs are out there?

AOL Dialup/Broadband - Used to access the internet

AOL Explorer - Web browser that uses Internet Explorer

AOL Instant Message - Allows you to chat with other people online

AOL Anti-Spyware - Used to get rid of Spyware

AOL Anti-Virus - Used to get rid of Viruses

AOL Connectivity - Used to see what type of internet connection you have
